Business Support & Expansion
Mingdao Advisory supports local coordination, operating setup and business expansion activities in Bangladesh.
Who this service is for
Businesses developing a local operating presence, expanding activities or coordinating administrative work.
What the engagement aims to achieve
Coordinated local administration and setup support around a defined operational or expansion project.
Define the engagement
The decision this service should help you make.
What local capability or coordination is needed to sustain operations or test an expansion?
Useful information to bring
- Current operating footprint, team and counterparties
- Expansion objective, target locations and customer requirements
- Resource, budget and decision constraints
Outputs to agree
- A prioritised support plan defining local tasks and responsibilities
- A coordination record with actions, dependencies and progress reviews
Use project milestones, response times, issue resolution and agreed operating measures. Recruitment, premises, supplier or partner decisions require their own evaluation and approvals.
These are proposed scoping examples. The engagement confirms the work, responsibilities, dependencies and fees.

Deliverables to agree

- An agreed setup or coordination plan
- A responsibility and dependency tracker
- Coordinated supplier, staffing or administrative work within scope
- A handover of records and outstanding operating actions
How the engagement works
- Understand. Discuss your objectives, current position and required support.
- Define. Agree deliverables, responsibilities, dependencies, timing assumptions and fees.
- Prepare. Confirm the information and documents needed for the agreed work.
- Deliver. Coordinate activities and communicate progress or scope changes.
- Review. Record completed work, outstanding actions and any ongoing support.
What to prepare
Your current presence, intended locations, staffing needs, operational requirements and expansion objectives.
Start with a business brief. We will confirm a project-specific information checklist before requesting detailed records.
Recurring and ongoing support
Local administration, vendor coordination, payroll administration and other agreed support can continue after the initial project under a recurring scope.
Timing, fees and dependencies
Timing and fees depend on the agreed work, complexity, information availability and external dependencies. Request a proposal for your requirements.
- Professional fees should identify the included work.
- Applicable government charges and third-party costs should be identified separately.
- Client information requirements and review responsibilities should be clear.
- External approvals and specialist work should be identified where relevant.
Common questions
Can a virtual address be used for every business requirement?
Suitability must be checked for the intended entity, activity and specific requirement before an address arrangement is agreed.
Does coordination include third-party charges?
The proposal should identify coordination fees separately from premises, supplier, staffing and other third-party costs.

Foreign ownership in Bangladesh
Build a business you can fully own.
100% foreign ownership
Available in eligible sectors
100% foreign ownership is permitted in most sectors in Bangladesh. An eligible business can establish a wholly foreign-owned company without a local equity partner.
Eligibility depends on the business activity. Reserved or restricted activities, sector-specific ownership rules, licences and regulatory approvals must be checked before incorporation or investment.
Do I need a local shareholder?
For an activity eligible for wholly foreign-owned incorporation, a local equity partner is not generally required. The proposed activities and applicable sector rules must be reviewed first. Ownership eligibility does not replace company registration, operating licences or other required approvals.
