Mingdao Advisory / Services

Corporate Legal & Regulatory Services

Mingdao Advisory coordinates corporate documentation, licensing and regulatory support for businesses operating in Bangladesh.

Who this service is for

Businesses establishing an entity, updating corporate information or managing licensing and regulatory requirements.

What the engagement aims to achieve

Organized corporate documentation and coordination of the registrations, filings or licensing work identified for your business.

Define the engagement

The decision this service should help you make.

Which documentation, licences or regulatory questions apply to the actual activity?

Useful information to bring

  • Current company records, existing registrations and proposed changes
  • Description of business activities, products and locations
  • Notices, correspondence or specific issues needing review

Outputs to agree

  • An activity-specific requirements and document checklist
  • A record of coordinated submissions, specialist input and outstanding items

Measure completeness, accuracy, open issues and submission status. The service catalogue is not a universal registration checklist; specialist legal opinions and representation require an expressly agreed qualified professional.

These are proposed scoping examples. The engagement confirms the work, responsibilities, dependencies and fees.

  • Prepared or coordinated documentation within the engagement scope
  • A record of submissions, follow-up actions and outstanding items
  • A handover of resulting records where included

How the engagement works

  1. Understand. Discuss your objectives, current position and required support.
  2. Define. Agree deliverables, responsibilities, dependencies, timing assumptions and fees.
  3. Prepare. Confirm the information and documents needed for the agreed work.
  4. Deliver. Coordinate activities and communicate progress or scope changes.
  5. Review. Record completed work, outstanding actions and any ongoing support.

What to prepare

Your business activities, existing registrations, relevant corporate records and the specific matter requiring support.

Start with a business brief. We will confirm a project-specific information checklist before requesting detailed records.

Recurring and ongoing support

Renewal tracking, filing coordination and regulatory administration can be included in an ongoing support scope.

Timing, fees and dependencies

Timing and fees depend on the agreed work, complexity, information availability and external dependencies. Request a proposal for your requirements.

  • Professional fees should identify the included work.
  • Applicable government charges and third-party costs should be identified separately.
  • Client information requirements and review responsibilities should be clear.
  • External approvals and specialist work should be identified where relevant.

Common questions

Are all listed registrations needed for every company?

No. The relevant work depends on your activity, structure, location and circumstances. A service catalogue is not a universal compliance checklist.

How is specialist legal work handled?

Where work requires a licensed professional, the engagement should identify the responsible professional and their role. Authority decisions and approvals remain outside the service provider’s control.

Foreign ownership in Bangladesh

Build a business you can fully own.

100% foreign ownership
Available in eligible sectors

100% foreign ownership is permitted in most sectors in Bangladesh. An eligible business can establish a wholly foreign-owned company without a local equity partner.

Eligibility depends on the business activity. Reserved or restricted activities, sector-specific ownership rules, licences and regulatory approvals must be checked before incorporation or investment.

Do I need a local shareholder?

For an activity eligible for wholly foreign-owned incorporation, a local equity partner is not generally required. The proposed activities and applicable sector rules must be reviewed first. Ownership eligibility does not replace company registration, operating licences or other required approvals.
