How we organise the work
- Understand the context. Who verifies the tax treatment, approves the return and is authorised to submit it?
- Agree the scope. Select the applicable outputs above and name the people responsible for review and approval.
- Prepare the inputs. Confirm the project-specific information list and approved transfer method.
- Coordinate delivery. Track dependencies, questions, progress and any changes to the agreed work.
- Review and hand over. Record completed outputs, unresolved items and any recurring support required.
What to prepare for a first discussion
- Entity overview and reporting period
- Available accounts and prior filing status
- Known notices, responsible advisers and internal reviewers
Begin with a non-confidential business summary. Detailed documents are requested only after the scope, access and handover arrangements are agreed.
Build a preparation checklistTiming, fees and responsibilities
Organise your own quoted costs in a planning worksheet.
A proposal should distinguish professional fees, government charges where applicable and third-party costs. Timing depends on the agreed scope, information availability, review steps and external decisions.
Approval, licensing, tax, immigration and banking decisions remain with the relevant authorities or institutions. Where specialist advice or authorised representation is needed, confirm the responsible professional and their role in the proposal.
Recurring work should define the reporting cycle, workload assumptions, access controls, review responsibilities and change process.
Common questions
What should we confirm before starting?
Who verifies the tax treatment, approves the return and is authorised to submit it? The proposal should also identify deliverables, exclusions, timing assumptions and fees.
Can this be combined with other support?
Related work can be discussed as connected workstreams. Each workstream needs its own outputs, dependencies and owner so the overall scope remains clear.
Do we need to send confidential documents now?
No. Use the initial inquiry for a short business summary. Agree a suitable transfer method before sharing identity records, banking information or confidential business documents.
Discuss the work you need.
Your inquiry will start with this service selected.
Foreign ownership in Bangladesh
Build a business you can fully own.
100% foreign ownership
Available in eligible sectors
100% foreign ownership is permitted in most sectors in Bangladesh. An eligible business can establish a wholly foreign-owned company without a local equity partner.
Eligibility depends on the business activity. Reserved or restricted activities, sector-specific ownership rules, licences and regulatory approvals must be checked before incorporation or investment.
Do I need a local shareholder?
For an activity eligible for wholly foreign-owned incorporation, a local equity partner is not generally required. The proposed activities and applicable sector rules must be reviewed first. Ownership eligibility does not replace company registration, operating licences or other required approvals.
