Climate, Site Selection and Business Continuity

Assess location-specific disruption and the measures needed to protect operations.

Step 01

Screen the proposed site

National climate evidence supplies context; a project requires its own exposure assessment.

  • Review flood history, drainage and access routes.
  • Assess heat exposure, cooling and water reliability.
  • Check storage, power backup and emergency access.
Step 02

Price continuity into the operation

Compare resilience measures alongside rent and transport costs. The cheapest site can carry higher disruption costs.

  • Obtain qualified engineering and insurance input.
  • Define alternative suppliers and routes.
  • Test interruption scenarios and recovery responsibilities.

A common question.

Does a national climate map establish whether a site is safe?

No. Site conditions, engineering design and the operating model require qualified local assessment.

Foreign ownership in Bangladesh

Build a business you can fully own.

100% foreign ownership
Available in eligible sectors

100% foreign ownership is permitted in most sectors in Bangladesh. An eligible business can establish a wholly foreign-owned company without a local equity partner.

Eligibility depends on the business activity. Reserved or restricted activities, sector-specific ownership rules, licences and regulatory approvals must be checked before incorporation or investment.

Do I need a local shareholder?

For an activity eligible for wholly foreign-owned incorporation, a local equity partner is not generally required. The proposed activities and applicable sector rules must be reviewed first. Ownership eligibility does not replace company registration, operating licences or other required approvals.
